The Walled City
 


Lucca is a city with a profusion of art treasures within its walls.
The city is surrendered by a hedge earthen wall. The city use to be the seat of the Marquis of Tuscany; it was an independent city and maintained its political pre-eminence in Tuscany until the 19th century.
